This song demonstrates how humanity is basically considered God’s enemies because of what we do to harm our environment that God has created in a way in which the lines allude to the idea of using ruining heaven by destroying the world God created and side to hell (the devil) because that’s the only thing left.
The song How Bad Can I Be? from The Lorax depicts the greedy Once-Ler tearing up the environment so that his company can make more money. The video shows that people who destroy the environment (like the Once-Ler) are not doing so out of malice, but out of greed. It shows that one of the major causes of climate change is greed from humans. The Once-Ler's movements during the dance become bigger and more exaggerated while he becomes richer and richer, showing that he is doing bigger and bigger damage to the environment.
This song plays at the end of Wall-E, when humans return to their abandoned and polluted planet after spending hundreds of years living on a spaceship. The humans restore their planet to its former beauty. This song shows that nature is beautiful, and that restoring nature is a beautiful process.
